Hillary’s Truth

Sometimes the truth just slips out, like the Barney Frank blather posted last week. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton steps it up during high-level talks in Pakistan:

“We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move.”

Really? I hadn’t noticed. What I did notice is that it’s starting to look like not such a good idea to break our asses to become successful. What’s the point to taking risks and working 100 hours a week to build something from the ground up when the government will take the fruits of all that labor?

That’s the problem with the whole shebang these days. The more you make, the more they take. I already see the effects of the so-called progressive tax. I know people who start adding things up in October and if they are getting close to the next tax bracket, simply stop working.

Just imagine what people will do when the government forces through even more taxes. DeathCare, paying for the bailouts, Cap-and-Trade, even a VAT…it will become even easier and financially beneficial to simply calculate the minimum one needs to make ends meet, perform that amount of work and then park it in front of the Idiot Tube for the rest of the year. That will certainly help to boost the U.S. economy, won’t it?

It will be just like welfare. There will be no incentive to achieve anything.

It makes you wonder what this country is coming to under the Fearless Leadership we have…and have had for years now.
