Who?

“Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the

nick of time. Whaddya suppose that makes us?”

“Big damn heroes, sir.”

“Ain’t we just!”

Politically, I am not a democrat. For that matter, I’m not a republican, either…I’m all for common sense in government and law. I believe there should be less government, less laws and a less lawmakers. The laws we do have should protect our citizens from harming one another, protect their property and their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Education, infrastructure, the national defense, these are all things we need as a country…congressional junkets, bridges to nowhere, taxpayer-funded research on the uses of wood and billions upon billions in pork-barrel spending? Not so much.

“The police of a state should never be stronger or better

armed than the citizenry. An armed citizenry, willing to fight,

is the foundation of civil freedom.”

Personally, I’m a crank, a savage, a hopeful idealist. An autodidact, a drunk, a mystic, a hedonist, a workaholic, a bon vivant and at times a complete and unapologetic asshole. I’m lucky enough to travel most of the time…I’ve seen a lot of the world and I encourage everyone to do the same if they can.  It’s pretty big and a lot more interesting than whatever might be on the idiot tube these days. It will give you a much better understanding of others (for good or for ill) and our place on this spinning mud-ball of a planet.

My Battle Flag

I am defiant. Hell, I have my own flag. Like it? Then buy the tee-shirt.

Yeah, I’m a capitalist as well as a noisy and uninhibited crank.

“I won’t be wronged. I won’t be insulted. I won’t be laid a-hand on.

I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.”

My advice to you is to live well, learn all you can, form your own opinions and listen to other people’s views. Argue your points, convince others that your beliefs are right, but also be open to the fact that you may be wrong because it will happen, possibly more often than you’d like. Somewhere in all that is a way to gain a measure of wisdom, which is way cooler than being able to get through the last level of Doom 3 on nightmare.

Of course, I could be wrong.

“Struggle is the primeval policy of all living things and this to the

extent that, in the deepest sense struggle and life are identical,

for once the will to fight is extinguished, so is life itself”
